Artist's Statement The Beginning of Bamboo Craft Festival [ Dragon Dance Performance ] At night, the bamboo structures light up as the festival begins with a dragon dance performance. Visitors gather around the bamboo stage as performers raise and lower the dragon with bamboo poles, guided by rhythmic drums and a leading ball. The dragon is made of bamboo, paper, and fabric. Residents watch from their windows, while others gather along Gage Street or walk under the elevated platforms to experience the bamboo structures.
