Artist's Statement The Giant Bamboo Arch Entrance of Bamboo Craft Festival A giant bamboo arch welcomes families and visitors to the Bamboo Craft Festival. Craftsmen construct the entrance using bamboo steamers and woven bamboo patterns around the Central–Mid-Levels Escalator, transforming the urban space into a festive entrance. The bamboo steamer craftsman demonstrates the making process, while bent bamboo elements and woven patterns decorate the structures, casting shifting shadows across the space and inviting the public to experience the craftsmanship.
