A series of 3 risoprints | Inspired by amphibians & other wildlife in Hong Kong
Note from the Artist:
My work is deeply inspired by wildlife. For years, I have been exploring Hong Kong's nature and its diverse species. Amphibians are among the most accessible creatures I encounter; this series, in fact, was created following the publication of our first book, Wild Neighbours: Hong Kong Amphibians.
'Wetland Corner' focuses on the Three-striped Grass Frog. As Hong Kong's freshwater marshes vanish, these tiny frogs face an uncertain future. I remember trekking through thick mud for hours to find them, only to have one unexpectedly leap into my sleeve This print also features a Leaf Beetle and a Damselfly.
