Note from the Artist:
This series is inspired by some of the memorable wildlife I encounters in the trip to Sri Lanka.
Though Sigiriya is world-renowned for its Ancient Rock Fortress and historical monuments, our focus was on the wildlife that thrives among these sites. It was facinating to see how the protection of historical sites has inadvertently created a sanctuary for the surrounding nature to flourish.
Species in the print:
Fishing Cat (Prionailurus viverrinus)
Indian Pangolin (Manis crassicaudata)
Asian Long-tailed Climbing Mouse (Vandeleuria oleraceus)
Sri Lanka Grey Hornbill (Ocyceros gingalensis)
Sri Lankan Blotched Bent-toed Gecko (Cyrtodactylus yakhuna)
Lantern Bug (Pyrops maculatus)
